What is intake?

Animal intake refers to the process of bringing an animal into the care of an organization such as pause4change.

Here are a couple of scenarios that would be considered intake.

– An animal control officer or other law wnforcement offical picks up the animal

– An animal is moved from another organization into the new organization’s care

To begin the intake process, please submit a intake application for animal(s). The application will be reviewed by our intake team. If they determine we have the resources to intake the animal, we will contact you to discuss more details.

Please note we typically do not accept owner surrenders.
